FILL YOUR MIND WITH GOD – Daily Devotional

Many of our choices have predictable outcomes.  For example:  You are walking past the fresh smell of pastries at the grocery store and they look – oh so good – when you remind yourself, “You are what you eat” so you choose to keep on walking – or not.

Yes – we are what we eat.   But even more so. . . We are what we think about!

In his famous letter to the Philippians, Paul proclaimed this truth when he said, “Whatever is true, noble, pure, lovely and admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about these things. . . And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9

Now let’s imagine being friends with a person who reads good books, listens to inspiring podcasts and chooses to fill their minds with God and his goodness.

I love friends like this!!

They are so likable and gentle yet they are so interesting.

Can you see the joy inside their marriage!  Now picture their strong work ethic and accountability.  Who wouldn’t want to work with or work for someone like this?

As they fill their minds with God’s goodness, imagine how they continue to grow!  And to top it all off, they would have a peacefulness that would fill them, and spillover – wherever they go. . .

Pick me!  Pick me!  I want to be like this!
