GREATNESS – The Difference Between Good and Great – Daily Devotional

Imagine the excitement of changing one little thing in your life – that could rock your world in a great big way. . .

Consider two baseball players.  One is a 300 hitter who is an all-star and a fan favorite who signs a ginormous contract.  The other is a 250 hitter who is mostly an unknown player that goes between the majors and the minors.  The difference between these players is huge.  All-star versus unknown.  Hero versus who’s that?  Day and night.

But when you do the math, you’ll discover that the 300 hitter only averages one more base-hit per week than the 250 hitter.

Now what’s the difference?   Just one little hit a week.

So what’s the difference between good and great????   Just a little tiny bit – but it’s everything – all at the same time.

Deep down we all know why the little things so important. . .   Because eventually, all the little things in life become big things.   Our little choices (both good and bad) turn into big habits that eventually form the heart of our character.

  • When we choose to be thankful
  • When we choose to try harder
  • When we choose to forgive
  • When we choose to be our very best self

All these little choices are small. . .  The results are just one extra base hit per week.  One extra smile.  One extra hug.  Just one little extra.

But together, these small choices will rock your world in unimaginable big ways!  So let’s ask ourselves right now, “What one little thing can I do today, that will make a big difference in someone else’s life?”  Ask God for help and you’ll know what it is.
