Today I want to share one little idea that is so powerful and amazing that it will rock your world and change your life no matter who you are or what you do.

This one little idea is so big that it makes the difference between success or failure, happiness or unhappiness.  And this idea is something that you and I can do every day – several times every day – if we are just aware of it.

The idea is simply to change one little word in your life.  Are you ready for it?  Listen carefully to the following sentences:

• I have to wake up early for work. . . Or I get to wake up early for work. . .
• I have to go to work today. . . Or I get to go to work today. . .
• I have to make dinner for my family. . . Or I get to make dinner for my family. . .
• I have to take my son to practice. . . Or I get to take my son to practice. . .
• I have to do my homework. . . Or I get to do my homework. . .

Look at the incredible power we gain just by changing one little word.  We get to change our perspective so instead of seeing burdens, we are looking at and looking for opportunities.

I know a man who hates weeding his garden and sees it only as work but imagine his joy if he simply saw it as an opportunity to be outside and relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.

Now imagine changing this same word when we apply it to prayer.  Instead of having to pray, or having to go to church, what if we saw prayer as an opportunity to spend time with our God who made us, loves us and wants the best for us.  Now we can be excited as we get to pray, and we are lucky enough to get to go to church.

Such a little thing, but such a great big thing at the same time!!
